Virginity! According to patriarchal constructs of female identity, a woman is a man’s possession but also of the family, the community and even the state. Men still tend to look at women as an object, which they are not allowed to think for themselves; they are constantly under the judgment and supervision of men.
Men in the Abrahamic Religions dominate women’s body and virginity to “protect” the honour of the family; women are inferior and should be submitted to men.

¡Virginidad! Según las construcciones patriarcales de la identidad femenina, una mujer es la posesión del hombre, pero también de la familia, la comunidad e incluso del Estado.
Los hombres todavía ven las mujeres como un objeto, que no se les permite pensar por sí mismas; están constantemente bajo el juicio y la supervisión de los hombres.
Los hombres en las religiones abrahámicas dominan el cuerpo y la virginidad de las mujeres para “proteger” el honor de la familia; las mujeres son inferiores y deben someterse a los hombres.
