The yellow badge was a symbol of shame and humiliation at the second world war against the Jewish nation. The act of using the badge but instead writing the word Arab is to show how the world today is reacting against the Arab nation.
El estigma
La insignia amarilla, también conocida como una estrella judía, era un parche de paño que los judíos cosieron en sus prendas exteriores para marcarlos. La intención era hacerles sentir vergüenza. La idea de asociar la estrella con la palabra “árabe”, produce un juego contradictorio entre el rechazo que existía en el pasado hacia los judíos y el que actualmente existe hacia los árabes.
